        Centre Hire FAQs


Q - What is the Community Centre used for?

A - Our Community Centre is available to hire for a one off party or for a regular hire if you wish to run a class for the public or a private event.

Q - How do I book The Centre?

A - You can visit our website Click to visit  where you can view available time slots, book and pay for a hire.  We are also happy to take a booking at The Trust office please call in (our opening times are 08:30 – 17:00 Mon – Thurs and 08:30 – 14:00 Friday) or email thecentre@elseapark.co.uk .  If you are wanting to run a regular hire for something such as an exercise class please contact us thecentre@elseapark.co.uk.


Q - How do I get to The Centre?

Q - How do we get into the building on day of hire?

A - We issue a Digital Key invite for you to follow the instructions and download the SaltoKS app.  Instructions for use are displayed on every external door.  If you have any issues on the day of your hire please call the emergency number displayed on all external doors.


Q - What do we do with our rubbish from our hire?

A - The Centre accepts 2 bin bags full, if you have more rubbish than this we ask you to take this away with you.


Q - Where can I hang decorations?

A - Currently we ask that you don’t stick anything to the painted surfaces.  There are multiple hooks on the picture rail and there are hexagonal cork boards (pins are located on the kitchen worktop).


Q - Music, can I have a band?

A - Yes, you are welcome to have a band, or you could connect your gadget with recorded music on it to our surround sound speakers.


Q - Do you have tables and chairs for us to use?

A - Yes you have access to 25 tables and 145 chairs stored back stage.   We ask that you leave the hall as you found it.


Q - Does The Centre provide table cloths and chair covers?

A - No but you are welcome to hire someone to do this for you but we do not provide this service.

Q - Who do I contact if something goes wrong during my hire?

A - For emergency only (this includes problems securing the building as you leave) please call 07899 844552.


Q - Can I have a bouncy castle or soft play?

A - If you want a bouncy castle please notify us. Due to our insurance there are certain things we need to be able to allow a bouncy castle on/in our premises.  We need to have a copy of the companies liability insurance and PIPA test certificate and we need to see proof that the bouncy castle provider has a member of staff staying with their inflatable to supervise during its use.  


Q - Can we bring our own alcohol?

A - I’m afraid our licence does not permit it.  If you would like alcohol at your event please notify us, we have a volunteer group you can email them barservices@events.elseapark.co.uk or you can choose your own outside bar provider who will need to be approved by us at least 2 weeks before your hire date.
